PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS

SAFETY RULES
& POLICIES.

These rules are designed to reduce risk, protect guests and staff, and keep every Break Point experience controlled. Rules may be updated before opening to match insurer, landlord, fire, building and legal requirements.

1. WAIVER & ELIGIBILITY

  • Every participant must complete the applicable assumption-of-risk, release and rules acknowledgment before entering an activity area.
  • Adults sign for themselves. A parent or legal guardian must complete required documents for a minor. Staff may require identification.
  • Accepting website terms or submitting a booking request does not replace the separate participant waiver.
  • Participation is voluntary and involves inherent risks including cuts, bruises, falls, flying debris, noise, paint exposure, tool or axe impact, property damage, serious injury and, in rare cases, death.
  • Break Point may refuse participation when eligibility, documentation, equipment fit, behavior or safety requirements are not satisfied.

2. CONDUCT & ZERO-IMPAIRMENT POLICY

  • No alcohol, marijuana, illegal drugs or other impairing substances before or during an activity. No BYOB.
  • Anyone who appears impaired, aggressive, unable to follow instructions or medically unsafe may be refused or removed without refund.
  • No horseplay, fighting, threats, harassment, discriminatory conduct, intentional contact, throwing at people or reckless behavior.
  • No outside weapons, firearms, knives, ammunition, explosives or tools. Only equipment issued or expressly approved by staff may be used.
  • Follow all verbal instructions, lane signals, floor markings, barriers, occupancy limits and stop commands immediately.

3. CLOTHING & PROTECTIVE GEAR

  • Closed-toe, secure shoes are required. Sandals, slides, heels and bare feet are prohibited in activity areas.
  • Remove or secure loose jewelry, dangling accessories and loose clothing. Tie back long hair.
  • Wear all assigned eye, face, hearing, hand, head and body protection correctly for the entire activity.
  • Prescription glasses do not replace required protective eyewear. Staff-issued protection must fit over or incorporate corrective lenses as applicable.
  • Do not remove protective equipment until outside the activity zone and authorized by staff.

4. RAGE ROOM RULES

  • Strike only designated breakable items and approved targets inside the marked zone.
  • Never strike walls, doors, windows, cameras, lights, sprinklers, ventilation, staff equipment or another participant.
  • Maintain safe spacing. Only the number of active participants authorized by staff may swing at one time.
  • Never touch broken glass, sharp metal or debris by hand. Do not pick up or throw loose shards.
  • No outside breakables unless pre-approved and inspected. Prohibited items include ammunition, batteries, fluorescent bulbs, pressurized containers, chemicals, biohazards, combustible materials and unapproved electronics.
  • Tools must stay in the room and be carried or placed only as instructed. Stop immediately when the signal is given.

5. AXE THROWING RULES

  • Throw only after instruction and only from the designated line toward the assigned target.
  • One authorized thrower per lane at a time unless staff specifically approves another format.
  • Never cross the throwing line or retrieve an axe until staff gives the all-clear and all axes have stopped moving.
  • No trick throws, dual throws, underhand throws, spinning displays or modified techniques unless taught and approved by staff.
  • Carry an axe only by the handle with the blade pointed down and away from the body. Never hand an axe blade-first to another person.
  • Do not throw a damaged axe or at a damaged target. Notify staff immediately.

6. SPLATTER PAINT RULES

  • Wear assigned eye protection and protective clothing. Paint may permanently stain clothing, shoes, hair, phones and personal property.
  • Do not intentionally throw or spray paint at another person's eyes, face, mouth or open wounds.
  • No ingestion, tasting, misuse of paint or intentional application to electrical equipment, exits, cameras or non-designated surfaces.
  • Walk—do not run—because floors may become slippery. Report spills or falls immediately.
  • Children must remain under the required supervision for the entire session.

7. MINORS & SUPERVISION

  • Minimum ages, adult-to-minor ratios and permitted activities will vary by experience, equipment and insurer requirements.
  • A parent or legal guardian must complete required documents for each minor and may be required to remain on site or participate.
  • Break Point may require proof of age and may decline participation when a minor cannot safely use equipment or follow instructions.
  • Adults supervising minors are responsible for their group's conduct in addition to staff supervision.

8. HEALTH, FITNESS & ACCESSIBILITY

  • Participants are responsible for deciding whether an activity is appropriate for their health, mobility and physical condition and should seek medical advice when uncertain.
  • Tell staff before participating about requested accommodations, mobility needs or equipment-fit concerns. Break Point will evaluate reasonable accommodations consistent with safety.
  • Service animals are accommodated as required by law; because active smashing and throwing zones contain noise and projectiles, staff may coordinate a safe alternative location or modified participation plan.
  • Do not participate while experiencing a contagious illness, active bleeding, uncontrolled symptoms or a condition that prevents safe compliance with instructions.

9. PERSONAL PROPERTY, MEDIA & CAMERAS

  • Leave valuables at home. Break Point is not responsible for ordinary loss, theft, paint damage or impact damage to personal belongings to the extent permitted by law.
  • Phones and personal cameras may be restricted in active zones. Recording must not interfere with safety or another guest's privacy.
  • Safety/security cameras may operate in common and activity areas. No cameras will be placed in restrooms or private changing areas.
  • Promotional photography or video featuring an identifiable guest requires separate consent. Declining promotional use does not affect participation.
  • Guests may be charged for intentional or reckless damage outside designated breakables and targets.

10. ENFORCEMENT, REMOVAL & EMERGENCIES

  • Staff may pause or end an activity at any time for safety, maintenance, emergency response or rule violations.
  • No refund is owed when participation is refused or ended because of impairment, prohibited conduct, missing documents, unsafe clothing, intentional damage or failure to follow instructions.
  • Late arrival may reduce activity time without refund so later reservations are not delayed.
  • Report every injury, equipment issue, near miss or hazardous condition immediately. Do not leave after an incident until staff completes the required report, unless emergency care requires it.
  • In an emergency, stop, place equipment down, follow staff directions and move to the designated exit or assembly area.

IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE

These public rules are not a complete liability waiver, do not eliminate every risk and do not guarantee that a claim cannot be made. Break Point must use a separate New Mexico attorney-reviewed waiver, carry appropriate insurance, train staff and maintain documented safety procedures.
